Sattar urges Muslims to accept Bangladesh
From Our Own Correspondent, BERHAMPORE, JAN. 5.-Mr. Abdus Sattar, the State Congress (R) President, while addressing the Congress workers conference at Gajdharpara, here on Saturday urged the Muslims in India, particularly of this district of Murshidabad to accept the disintegration of Pakistan with good grace and to welcome the newly born State of Bangladesh. He said Muslims in India had nothing to do with Pakistan whether it remained or disintegrated but they should think about their own country like a true citizen of India. He also criticised the reported whispering campaign of a section of Minister Leaguers who felt hurt at the defeat of Pakistan. Dr. Joyna Abedin, the Secretary of the State Congress and Mr. Abdul Ban Biawas of district Congress also spoke on the same vein.
