Pak paper raps British Press

Karachi, July 7 (Reuter) — Relations between Britain and Pakistan may reach the breaking point over British press criticism of the Pakistan Government’s action in the East Pakistan crisis, a newspaper warned today.
In an editorial Karachi Morning news said that unless Britain modified its policies and asked the British Press and Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) to mend their ways “relations will continue to deteriorate. They may indeed not take too long to reach breaking point.”
The paper said Pakistan had never tried to embarrass Britain “by publishing adverse reports on its reprehensible policies in Rhodesia and Ireland.
“How Pakistan has been repaid by Britain for its friendship is, however amply borne out by abominable reports and perfidious comments published in the British Press.”
The paper said the “anti-Pakistan tirade” had become worse since foreign corespondent were allowed back into East Pakistan 17 days ago.“ One wonders whether we could do without them,” It added.
