Phizo Laldenga meet Pak Army chief

SEPTEMBER 5: Mr. Phizo, Naga rebel leader, and Mr. Laldenga, MNF leader, had two secret meetings with the Pak, Army Chief, Mr. Abdul Hamid Khan, in Chittagong hill tracts.
The first meeting was held in the later half of July and the second meeting was in the middle August, it was learnt here. The Pak military authorities promised Mr. Laldenga that they would help establish autonomous State for the Mizos under the central Government Of Pakistan if they helped Pak Army against India. Mr. Laldenga agreed on this term, it was learnt. Mr. Laldenga accordingly, advised all hostile Mizo to co-operate with the Pak Army and attack Indian posts, particularly in Tripura and Mizo hills border areas.
…Mr. Phizo was also assured on same line by the Pak Army in return Mr. Phizo promised that he would co-operate with Pakista-n if the Pak Government helped him to get an independent Nagaland.
The Chakma leader, Mr. Tridib Roy, had also a similar meeting with the Pak Army and assured all help, including recruitment of Chakma youths, to the Pak Army. Many high-ranking officials of the Pak Army were also present at the meetings.
