Pakistan may not accept UK aid even if given
From Our London Office, JULY 28 Pakistan may not accept British aid even if it was offered”. This was make clear by Yahya Khan’s Economic Adviser, Mr. Ahmed, in an interview published in a British newspaper, which carried 10 days ago Yahya Khan’s war threat interview. Mr. Ahmed said that “it is not a question of what Britain will give to us. The important point is that whether Pakistan will be willing to accept British aid at all”.
Meanwhile the Bangladesh Action committee in London is organizing a mammoth demonstration demanding“ stop genocide” “recognise Bangladesh” for August 1. Thousands of people from al over Britain are expected to participate in the demonstration. It is likely that West Pakistani anti- Bangladesh counter demonstration is being organised by East Pakistanis for August 15.
The Pakistan High Commission has issued circular letters urging west Pakistanis not to attend Indian film shows as they are all charity shows for Bangladesh and pays for the bullets against the Pakistanis, not for the refugees from East Bengal.
