… বাংলাদেশের সাড়ে সাত কোটি মানুষের এখানে সমবেত ভাইদের সঙ্গে একাত্মতা প্রকাশ ও আরব ভাইদের ন্যায়সংগত সংগ্রামে তাহাদের সমর্থন ঘোষণার জন্য এই সম্মেলনে অংশগ্রহণ করিতে পারায় আমরা খুবই আনন্দিত। সেক্রেটারি জেনারেলসহ অন্য যাঁহারা আমাদের ভাইদের পার্শ্বে আজ আমাদের উপস্থিতির আয়োজন করিতে সক্রিয়ভাবে কাজ করেছেন, আমি তাঁদের সকলের প্রতি আমাদের কৃতজ্ঞতা জ্ঞাপন করছি। যে মহামান্য নেতৃবৃন্দ আজ আমাদের স্বাগত জানিয়েছেন আমি তাঁদের ধন্যবাদ জানাই। আর ধন্যবাদ জানাই আমাদের মেজবান ও সম্মেলনের চেয়ারম্যান পাকিস্তানের প্রধানমন্ত্রীকে। আমি বলতে চাই, সার্বভৌমত্বের ভিত্তিতে আমাদের সম্পর্কের ক্ষেত্রে এক নূতন অধ্যায় উন্মোচিত হয়েছে। আমরা এই উপমহাদেশে এবং বিশ্বে শান্তি প্রতিষ্ঠার উদ্দেশ্যে যুগপৎ অবদান রাখার পথ উন্মুক্ত করেছি। আজকের মতো মানবজাতি ইতিপূর্বে কখনও এতবড় কঠোর চ্যালেঞ্জের সম্মুখীন হয় নাই। একদিকে ভয়াবহ বিপদ আর অপরদিকে জীবনের মানোন্নয়নে সৃজনশীল বিপুল সম্ভাবনা—বিশ্বের মানুষ ইতিপূর্বে এমন পরিস্থিতির দ্বারপ্রান্তে উপনীত হয় নাই। মানুষ এখন বস্তুগত দিক থেকে বৃহত্তর শক্তি অর্জন করেছে যা সে আর কখনও করতে পারে নাই। সে পৃথিবীকে ধ্বংস করার ক্ষমতা অর্জন করেছে। আমরা যুদ্ধের জন্য শক্তি অপব্যবহার করতে দেখেছি, জনগণকে নিপীড়ন করতে দেখেছি। আমরা তাদের ন্যায়সংগত অধিকার অস্বীকার করতে দেখিয়াছি। অকথ্য দুর্ভোগের মাঝে তাদের ঠেলে দিতেও আমরা দেখেছি। আর এইসব অবর্ণনীয় যাতনার চূড়ান্ত নিদর্শন হয়ে আছেন আমাদের ফিলিস্তিনি ভায়েরা। আর এই জন্যই অতীতের তুলনায় আজ এই শক্তিকে প্রজ্ঞার সাথে কাজে লাগানোর প্রয়োজন বেশি। ধ্বংস নয় সৃষ্টি, যুদ্ধ নয় শান্তি, দুর্ভোগ নয় মানুষের কল্যাণে আমাদের কাজ করতে হবে। আমরা যদি মহানবীর প্রচারিত মানব-প্রেম ও মর্যাদার শাশ্বত মূল্যবোধ আমাদের মধ্যে সঞ্চারিত করতে পারি তাহলে বর্তমানকালের সমস্যা সমাধানে মুসলিম জনসাধারণ সুস্পষ্ট অবদান রাখতে সক্ষম হবে। এইসব মূল্যবোধে উদ্দীপিত হয়ে শান্তি ও ন্যায়বিচারের ভিত্তিতে আমরা একটি নূতন আন্তর্জাতিক ঐতিহ্য গড়ে তুলতে পারি। এই সম্মেলন শুধুমাত্র আরব ভাইদের সংগ্রামের প্রতি সমর্থনে আমাদের ঐক্য সংহত করার জন্যই নয়, বরং জোটনিরপেক্ষ দেশগুলির সাথে বিশ্বব্যাপী শান্তি ও প্রগতিশীল শক্তিসমূহের সঙ্গে আমাদের একাত্মতা ঘোষণার জন্যও গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। উপনিবেশবাদ, সাম্রাজ্যবাদ, বর্ণবাদ ও সকল প্রকার শারোষণের বিরুদ্ধে সংগ্রামরত বিশ্বের নিপীড়িত জনগণের সঙ্গে একাত্মতার উপর জোর দিতে হবে। আমাদের ভাইদের উপর যে নিদারুণ অবিচার হয়েছে অবশ্যই তার অবসান ঘটাতে হবে। অন্যায়ভাবে দখলকৃত আরব ভূখণ্ড অবশ্যই ছেড়ে দিতে হবে। আমাদের অধিকার পুনঃপ্রতিষ্ঠিত করতে হবে জেরুজালেমের উপর। রমজান যুদ্ধের অকুতোভয় বীর শহীদানের প্রতি আমরা সালাম জানাই। তাহারা তাহাদের শৌর্য ও আত্মত্যাগের দ্বারা বহু অমূলক ধারণা ধূলিসাৎ করে এমন একটি নয়া কার্যকর অবস্থার সৃষ্টি করেছেন যাতে এই কথাই মূর্ত হয়ে উঠেছে যে, ন্যায়বিচার ও অধিকার আদায়ের সংগ্রামে বিজয় অবধারিত। আমরা পুরারোপুরিরূপে বিশ্বাস করি যে, ইতিহাস একটি ক্রান্তিলগ্নে এসে পৌঁছেছে। আমরা আমাদের সম্মিলিত ও সুচিন্তিত কার্যক্রম দিয়ে আমাদের ভাইদের উপর চালিত অবিচারের অবসান ঘটাতে পারবো। আল্লাহর কৃপায় আমরা এখন আমাদের সম্পদ ও শক্তি এমনভাবে সংহত করতে পারি, যাতে আমাদের সকলের জন্য শান্তি ও ন্যায়বিচার অর্জন করা যায়। এই সাফল্য অর্জনের জন্য বাংলাদেশের সাড়ে সাত কোটি মানুষ সম্ভাব্য সকল প্রকার সাহায্য করতে প্রতিশ্রুতিবদ্ধ। সর্বশক্তিমান আল্লাহ আমাদের সকল যুক্ত প্রচেষ্টা সফল করুন। ধন্যবাদ, জনাৰ চেয়ারম্যান।

Your Majesties, Your Highnesses, Excellencies and brothers,
Indeed we are very happy that the 75 million people of Bangladesh have been able to take their place in this forum to declare their fraternal solidarity with their brethren who are assembled here and extend their support to the just cause of our Arab brethren.
I would like to express our appreciation to all those, including the Secretary-General, who have actively worked to arrange for us to be by the side of our brothers today and thank all the distinguished leaders who have welcomed us today, and to our host and chairman the Prime Minister of Pakistan. I extend our thanks. I would like to state that in opening a new chapter in our relations on the basis of sovereignty we have paved the way for contributing together to the promotion of peace in our subcontinent and in the world.
Never before has mankind faced such formidable challenges as it faces today. Never before have the people of the world stood on the threshold on the one hand of awesome dangers and on the other, vast creative possibilities for the improvement of their quality of life. Man has acquired greater material power than he has ever enjoyed before. He has acquired the capacity to destroy the world. We have seen in our times how much power has been used to make war, to oppress people to deny to them their legitimate rights and to inflict untold sufferings as exemplified by the agonies of our Palestine brothers.
This is why we need today to get our wisdom more than ever before to harness this power not to destroy but to create not to make war but to build peace; not to aggravate human sufferings but to advance human welfare.
A distinctive contribution of the Muslim people to the problem of our day can be made if we can contribute to the generation of the eternal values of human brotherhood and the dignity of man which the Holy Prophet bequeathed to mankind.
It is upon these values that we can build a new international order based on peace and justice. It is important for us to emphasize that this conference can be useful not only to consolidate our unity in support of the cause of Arab brethren but we can at the same time declare our solidarity with the forces of peace and progress throughout the world with the non-aligned nations, with the oppressed people of the world struggling against colonialism, imperialism, racialism and all those people who are struggling against domination and exploitation in all its forms. The historic injustices which have been inflicted on our brethren must be redressed.
The illegal occupation of Arab land must be vacated. We must regain our right over Jerusalem. We salute the brave martyrs and valiant heroes to the Ramadan War who, by their velour and their sacrifices, destroyed many myths and created new executive conditions which all promise that the right and justice will eventually triumph.
We fully agree that a critical juncture in history has been reached, but a concerted and well planned action on our part can remove the historic injustices, which have been inflicted on our brethren.
By the grace of Allah, today we are in a position to consolidate our resources and our strength behind a strategy which can secure peace and justice for all of us.
I would end by pledging that the 75 million people of Bangladesh are fully committed to contribute in every way possible to the success of this strategy.
May the Almighty crown all our collective endeavor with success. Thank you, Mr. Chairman.
