Sunday Times Journalist Anthony Mascarenhas was awarded National Press Award 1972 for his works on Bangladesh Genocide (Also named Sinecide) during the liberation war. His works created a huge awareness throughout the whole world about the situation of Bangladesh as entrance of the the journalists were usually barred or restricted in East Pakistan/ Bangladesh.
