Bhutto admits rift in his party
MOGA, MAY 19Mr. Z. A. Bhutto, Chairman. Pakistan Peoples Party has for the first time admitted the split in the party which was reported in the Pakistani Press three weeks ago, says PTI. According to a report in the daily “Nawai Waqat” of Lahore, received here, Mr. Bhutto made the admission while addressing a public meeting at Layalpur a few days ago. Mr. Bhutto, however, added that he was confident that differences in the party would be patched up. The “Nawai Waqat” report further disclosed that Mr. Bhutto had a closed-door meeting for two hours with Mr. Rashid khan, Chairman of the parallel Peoples Party at Layalpur subsequently but they could not reach any accord.
