Pindi egging on Phizo, Laldenga to start disturbances afresh.

NEW DELHI, SEPT. 25—The Pakistani military junta has been egging on the Naga rebel leaders Phizo and the Mizo rebel leader Laidenga to start afresh disturbances in Nagaland and Mizo district.
The Pakistani rules are also recruiting a large number of persons, some through coercion and others through bribing, to carry on sabotage activities in the Indian territory bordering Bangladesh.
This design of the Pakistan Government has come to light through interrogation of a number of saboteurs and other persons rounded up by the Government recently, Pakistan is stated to have designed this strategy in view of the increasing activities of the Mukti Bahini throughout Bangladesh, particularly in the eastern sector.
According to information available here, Pakistan is said to have organised camps for training saboteurs. Since it is finding difficulty in getting volunteers for this activity in Bangladesh, the military junta is adopting coercion in forcing young men in joining these camps. Some Indians living in the border areas are also said to have been induced to carry on these activities. Many of the recruits who had been forced to do the sabotage works have surrendered to Indian security forces.
A strict vigilance is being maintained by the Border Security Force all along the border. Screening process of all in coming refugees has been tightened and many suspected and potential saboteurs have been taken into custody. It is claimed that the steps taken by the Government in this regard have started showing results and the situation has been completely within control.
According to information available here, many of the prosperous Pakistani businessmen are selling out their property in Bangladesh and leaving for Pakistan. Reports from across the border indicate that rich Pakistanis living in Bangladesh are sending their families to Pakistan. A big departmental store, five hardware shops in Khulna, all owned by Pakistanis, have been sold by their owners who have left for Pakistan with their families.
In the face for increasing attack from the Mukti Bahini, the Pakistanis have withdrawn their force from many of the border posts. They are now guarding only a few of these posts, as they find it difficult to thin out their already hard-pressed troops in a hostile territory.
Agencies add: Pakistani saboteurs have of late increased their minelaying activity in the Indian Territory bordering Bangladesh.
According to information received by the Army headquarters, the Army and the Border security Force patrols recovered 17 anti-personnel mines from an area about 95 km south-east of Agartala on September 19.
