  • Newly independent Bangladesh experiences almost 2 crore refugees inside the boundary. The total number of refugees including those in India, is around three crore, reports of British NGOs says.
  • Commander of Chief of Muktibahini, Colonel MAG Osmani reaches Dhaka.
  • Bangladesh Government in Kolkata discussing with Indian representative DP Dhar about the returning of Bangladeshi refugees. A draft budget is made of 100 million pounds.
