- Furious battle at Darshana railway station in Kushtia. Meanwhile, Pachagarh in Dinajpur and Basantapur in Khulna are liberated.
- Muktibahini capture the Paanch Matha intersection at Jhenidah, disconnecting the cantonment from rest of the country. They put barricades on Kushtia-Chuadanga highway.
- Freedom fighters destroy Ishwardi telephone exchange, attack the police station and capture it. Train service is halted as the tracks are damaged.
- Muktibahini capture Hatibandha Police Station. Roumari, Patgram, Nageshwari, Bhurungamari and in many regions are seen hoisting Bangladeshi flag.
- Khairul Jahan embraces martyrdom at Perbhanga region in Kishoreganj after killing eight Pakistan raiders. He died while trying to save his compatriots. He is a group commander at Sector No. 3 under Major Shafiullah.
- CMLA and Pakistan President Yahya Khan in a military order bans all committees, sub-committees of National Awami Party (NAP) and orders arrest of its leaders.
