- 80 Pakistan troops killed as allied force and Muktibahini fightesr attack Hili from three sides. The northern part of Bengal will be disconnected from the Rangpur Cantonment as a result of the attack. Pakistan lose few tanks as well.
- Muktibahini attack Pakistan positions in Islampur and Chatuidubi, three miles away from Nawabganj in Rajshahi, with heavy mortars. The military men use heavy machine guns, 81mm mortar and 25lbs cannon shells. 125 Pakistan troops and 250 Razakars are killed in these battles. Nayek Kasem Mohor Ali of Muktibahini fought with valour.
- Muktibahini attack Rajshahi telephone exchange and disconnect Sharda Police Training Centre.
- Muktibahini attack Razakar base in Munshiganj and take captive four Razakars with weapons and ammunition.
- Offence is the only way to defend, says Ghulam Azam in a Rawalpindi press conference.
