- Patgram sub-Sector Commander Capt Matiur Rahman with his troops attack strong Pakistan base in Borokhata. Pakistan troops retreat and build defence at Hatibandha.
- Provisional President Syed Nazrul Islam and Prime Minister Tajuddin Ahmad send Eid greetings to the citizens. “That day is not very far, when we will celebrate Eid on a free Bangladesh,” they say.
- Abdul Hakim, an armed Razakar from Bhaluka Razakar base, surrenders to Muktibahini.
- Muktibahini kill two Pakistan troops at a skirmish at Rajnagar in Comilla and hold captive five armed Razakars.
- Three Pakistan military men are killed as Muktibahini attack a military SUV in Mymensingh. Muktibahini captured the SUV and three rifles.
