- Indian delegation in Egypt to meet President Anwar Sadat bearing message from Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
- Intense fighting between Muktibahini and Pakistan militia in Kosba of Comilla, Kayempur, Salda river, Nayanpur and Chouddagram areas. Fighting continue in Sylhet, Mymensingh, Rangpur, Bogra and Jessore frontiers.
- Awami League’s working committee session, held in Mujibnagar, clearly states that freedom of the East is the only solution for Bangladesh issue. Other countries are urged to support the cause of Bangladesh.
