- Two separate clashes take place between freedom fighters and Pakistan military in Sunamganj north. Almost a thousand freedom fighters entered inside Pakistan territory in two groups and attack military camps. Freedom fighter Captain Abbas embrace martyrdom in the attack.
- Former provincial governor Abdul Monem Khan is shot at his Banani residende in the evening. Two freedom fighters drove to his house, entered his drawing room and shot him. They fled the spot after spreading panic with stengun brushfire. Monem Khan succumbs in Dhaka Medical College Hospital later that night.
- Two and half hours of intense fighting take place when freedom fighters attack Pakistan military and Razakar camp in Meduari village of Mymensingh. Eight Pakistan military men killed while others managed to flee.
- Mymensingh unit freedom fighters attack Pakistan military deputed in Gouripur Police Station. The freedom fighters take possession of some arms and ammunition from the spot.
- A team of Muktibahini fighters ambush Pakistan military on the Bhurungamari road in Rangpur. Three Pakistan military men are killed and four others injured.
- Lt Gen Niazi studies himself on the ground the activities of Pakistan military, Razakara and other collaborators on the frontiers of Comilla and other southern areas. He tells a gathering at Comilla that the nation could not enslave its future generation to the chains of slavery.
