- A group of Urdu-speaking people attack Bangladesh government’s special envoy Justice Abu Sayeed while he is raising support for Bangladesh in London. He sustained minor injuries.
- Muktibahini attack Pakistan military’s base camp adjacent to Shalda river in sector 2. They manage to free the river from the occupation of Pakistan military.
- A 12-13 year-old, of Maj Hakim’s company, enters Gopalpur Police Station and attack with grenade. 8 Pakistani soldiers are killed.
- Five Pakistan military men are killed when Muktibahini fighters attack them in Chauka, a northwest village in Rajshahi.
- Muktibahini fighters attack two platoons of Pakistan military in Mathuranagar under sector 8. Four hours of gunfight resulted in death of 15 Pakistan military men and three freedom fighters embrace martyrdom, four are injured.
- 30 Pakistani soldiers and Razakars are killed when freedom fighters attack Pakistani military in Betai sub-sector under sector 8.
- Pakistan and US government sign a deal for providing Tk 5 crore aid for East Pakistan.
- Education Minister Abbas Ali Khan, at a rally in Bogra’s Altafunnesa Maidan, says that India is not allowing refugees to return though the situation in the country has cooled down.
