- A patrol party of Muktibahini ambush Pakistan soldiers on the way to Dhandal village from Brahmanpara at Sector no-2. 10 Pakistan soldiers killed.
- Quoting officials of Nixon-led government, in a report by Cliveman of Washington Post states that, US government’s policy is only to protect unity of Pakistan.
