  • Sayed Nazrul Islam, acting president of Bangladesh government, threatens that Pakistan President Yahya Khan will have to take the responsibility if the trial of President Sheikh Mujibur Rahman did not stop. He calls upon the world leaders to create pressure on Pakistan to stop the trial.
  • Expressing concern over the trial, Indian foreign minister Sharan Singh also urges the world leaders to take steps to ensure security of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
  • Razakars, the collaborators of Pakistan government, kill 25 freedom fighters and wound many others in a cruel attack in Khulna.
  • Another freedom fighter sacrifices his life being repressed by the Razakars and peace committee members in Gopalganj area of Sylhet.
