- Freedom fighters kill three Pakistani soldiers and injure others seven when the Pakistan raiders visit Bijana bridge in Comilla.
- A Muktijoddha team led by Subedar Gias ambushes a patrol launch of Pakistan in Saghutia launchghat in Homra Thana. The Pakistan soldiers are forced to flee the scene.
- Freedom fighters led by Captain Huda set a mine and hoisted a flag of Bangladesh and then went into hiding at a nearby paddy field. Seeing the flag, as Pakistan soldiers came to put down the flag and died in the explosion.
- Pakistan raiders attack Prothanpara, Dangapara and Nuniapara camps of Subedar Hafiz-led freedom fighters under Sector No-6. The raiders finally move back in retaliation of freedom fighters.
- US arm supply to Pakistan should be stopped unit the political settlement in both part of Pakistan and congenial atmosphere ensured for the return of refugees staying in India, says US senator J W Phulbright.
- British Foreign Minister Sir Alec Douglas-Home says only Pakistan can solve what the people of east part of Pakistan is looking for.
- Military administration declares through Dinajpur Public Administration department that the people who left their houses and did not come back by yesterday have lost their properties.
- The military administrator imposes curfew in Dinajpur at every night between 10:00pm and 4:00am and threatens to shoot down if anyone is seen in the deadline.
