  • Freedom fighters make strong resistance to Pakistani soldiers when the militia in Katembar camp crossing Gongas in Comilla. Fifteen Pakistan soldiers are killed during the gunfight.
  • 30 Pakistani soldiers and seven collaborators are killed when freedom fighters attack a rally of Pakistan military and Rajakars at Naogaon school ground.
  • Pakistani soldiers attack Satla Bagdar Payera Bagan camp of freedom fighters and destroy the camp. The freedom fighters later established their camp at Jamidarbari in Gournadi thana.
  • Military ruler in Dhaka declares that the property of Awami Leader Tajuddin Ahmed, Abdul Mannan and Abidur Rahman, the editor of daily The Peoples, will be sold in auction on July 25.
