- All the sector commanders hold a meeting with acing president Sayed Nazrul Islam and Prime Minister Tajuddin Ahmed at the office bhaban at 8-No Theatre Road in Kolkata where the commander took oath expressing loyal to the Bangladesh government.
- Addressing the members of Jatiya and Regional Parishad, Bangladesh Prime Minister Tajuddin Ahmed says military Freedom is only the solution of problem in Bangladesh. The only way to overcome the present situation is to free the country from enemy.
- A decision has been taken to form the unit of river and air unit Muktibahini in Awami League National and regional members meeting and vowed to continue fight until freedom.
- Freedom fighters kill 13 Pakistan army in an attack on Shahabadpur area of Sylhet.
- Muktibahini launch a crackdown surrounding 60 Pakistan soldiers, including a captain, and kill 51 of them at Ballar fighting field.
