- Freedom fighters from Dauki camp in Sylhet ambush Pakistani camp in Jaintapur and killed a number of Pakistan soldiers. Freedom fighter Major Muttilib sustains injuries there.
- Freedom fighters attack Shahbajpur railway station camp in Sylhet leaves seven Pakistani soldiers injured.
- 2/3 Pakistan soldiers are killed when guerillas attack with grenades in an evening feast of Pakistan officers at Shanghai Chinese restaurant.
- Major Gaffar set up headquarters of his force in Konabon again after returning from Belunia.
- Muktibahini capture Thakurgaon Mahakuma Dinajpur after two day-long fierce fighting with Pakistani soldiers.
- Akashbani airs that Muktibahini freed three upazilas of Mymensingh and Tangail from Pakistan soldiers. Muktibahini’s activities increase in Sylhet, Comilla, Feni, Koshtia and Mymensingh. Yahya’s soldiers are being defeated everywhere. A huge number of Pakistani army men are being killed.
- Freedom fighters ambush at Pakistan soldiers Nabinagar camp. Seven Pakistan soldiers and five of their brokers killed. A freedom fighter injured in the attack.
- Henry Kissinger, the national security affairs assistant of US president, goes to Rawalpindi from Naya Delhi and holds an inclusive meeting the Pakistan president Yahya Khan in the evening.
- Pakistan Peace and Welfare Council president Moulvi Farid Ahmed, after returning Dhaka from Eygipt and Saudi Arabia as a special ambassador of Pakistan government, gave a statement saying that he has decided to retire from politics until the then crisis ended.
- US foreign department declares that the military equipment of $1.5 crore would be sent to Pakistan despite restriction of US government.
- Atahar Ali, former MNA and working committee president of Pakistan Jamiyat-e Olamay Isram and Nejame Islam, call upon the people to work for reinstate unity of Pakistan with more effort.
