  • Freedom fighters led by Habildar Gias ambush two launches on a branch of river Gomti at Joypur village near Masimpur Bazar in Daudkanid upazila. A fierce gunfight take place there and Pakistan soldiers return to Daudkandi after 20-25 of their men are killed during the gunfight.
  • Freedom fighters of A and C company of Sector 2 led by Major Salek and Captain Gaffar resist Pakistan army in Comilla while approaching towards the enclave of Shalda river. Pakistani soldiers fire targeting the position of freedom fighters and villagers. At least 11 freedom fighters and 32 civil people sustain injuries.
  • Four Pakistani soldiers are killed when a group freedom fighters attack Ramchandrapur launch terminal near Haziganj. As two more Pakistan company rush in to help their fellows, a fierce gunfight take place leading to the killing of 31 more Pakistan army men and injury of 54 others.
  • Freedom fighters attack Dirai Police Station of Sylhet where the officer-in-charge and a Pakistan agent die.
  • Julfikaar Ali Bhuttu leaves Karachi for Afghanistan and Iran as a special ambassador of Pakistan president Yiahya Khan.
  • East Pakistan commander Lt Gen AMK Niazi visits the Sylhet frontier and instructs the army to keep strong.
  • A five member committee led by Sylhet Peace Committee leader Makbul Ali Chowdhury and Shahabuddin meet Democratic Party chief Nurul amin.
  • Maulana Atahar Ali, former member secretary of Kishoreganj unit, calls upon the teachers, students of Shayekh Jamia Imdadia madras to join Muzahid fighters.
  • Former deputy speaker of Pakistan National Council ATM Abdul Matin terms Yahya as true democratic leader and says he is grateful to him for his role in restoring the law and order situation and protecting united Pakistan.
