- Freedom fighters led by Lance Nayek Abdul Mannan and Afsar Uddin Ahmed attack Baulia Pakistan camp. 60 Pakistani soldiers are killed and huge arms and ammo are seized.
- A face to face fight between freedom fighters and Pakistan army at Sunamganj. Two Pakistan army and two Ansar members are detained.
- Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed, the special ambassador of prime minister and also the agriculture minister, visits Egypt via United Arab Emirate and holds a meeting with Anwar Sadat about the India’s position on refugee.
- Jusfikar Ali Bhuttu at a press briefing at Karachi of Pakistan says the country needs popular leadership and true political initiative to combat the crisis.
- East Pakistan Governor and military administrator Lt General Tikka Khan visits Rajshahi, Chuadanga and Natore and addresses the local peace committee members.
- A two-member delegation from Garman arrives in Dhaka from Karachi and they met General Tikka Khan in the evening.
