  • In Sunamganj, 2000 Pakistan soldiers and militias attack Dharampasha base of the Muktibahini from three sides, one advanced through the Singdha- Dharampasha road under Barohatta Police Station, another came along the Kangsha River, and the third came along the Mohonganj- Dharampasha Road. 20 Pakistan soldiers including a Major are killed in this battle. On the other side, Abdul Hai, a valiant freedom fighter, became a martyr. The Pakistan forces took hold of Dharampasha Sadar after this battle and committed atrocities on the innocent people, committed murders and raped women. They also burnt down Dharampasha bazaar.
  • Freedom fighters ambush a train carrying Pakistan soldiers near Sahajibazar in Sylhet. 150 soldiers are killed in this ambush and the train is completely destroyed.
