- Muktibahini attack the base of the Pakistan forces near Sherpur in Moulavibazar. 50 Pakistan soldiers are killed in the operation by the freedom fighters. The freedom fighters got hold of a lot of weapons and ammunitions.
- In Syedpur, Pakistan soldiers pick up Hindu and Marwari families in a train telling them that they would be sent to India from their refugee camp. When the train reached the north end of the railway factory in Syedpur, the soldiers stopped the train, shut down the door and windows, and shot the men down 2/3 at a time. 338 people are killed in this atrocity. Only 65 people managed to escape.
