  • Freedom fighters led by Captain Mahfuz attack two Pakistan army cars carrying soldiers including one Lt Colonel and two Majors on their way to Ramgarh on the Hiyaku-Ramgarh highway. The Pakistan army men came down from the cars and fired back. After some time of fighting, Captain Mahfuz took his men to the base in safety. On the other hand, the Pakistan forces incurred significant loss as 5 soldiers died including one Lt. Colonel and two Majors, and they turned back to Hiyaku instead of advancing any further.
  • Pakistan forces attack on the main base of Muktibahini in Belonia. The valiant fighters of Muktibahini resisted both the attacks with a lot of courage. More than 300 Pakistan Army men died in this battle, and they incurred heavy losses. The remaining Pakistan Army men retreated, being devastated and overthrown, to their base at Anandapur.
  • The Muktibahini’s guerilla team ambush Peyara Bagan Camp of the Pakistan forces in Satkhira. Pakistan forces are devastated in this attack.
  • As part of a plan, the Muktibahini led by Captain Huda attack Basantapur Base of the Pakistan forces in the Satkhira border area. They had to retreat as the Pakistan forces made counter attack with full might.
  • In Pirojpur, Pakistan forces kill 10 students held from Mathbaria on the bank of Baleshwar River. Among them are Ganapati Halder, an undergraduate student in Chemistry Department in Dhaka University who stood first in SSC and HSC examination from Jessore Board, Anwarul Kadir, VP at Mathbaria College, Ziauzzaman, Mostofa, Sudhir, Malek, Amal, Biren, and Shamsul Haque.
