- Pakistan forces attack on Muktibahini at Vandura railway station on the bank of Seloneah River in Feni. The Muktibahini had to retreat from their position and moved to the main defence base at Belonia. On the other hand the Pakistan forces advanced to Anandapur and took a strong hold there. The freedom fighters incurred severe losses in the conflict.
- Special Military Court-1 in Dhaka being accusations against Awami League leaders Tajuddin Ahmed, Tofayel Ahmed, Syed Nazrul Islam, Abdul Mannan, and editor of the daily Peoples Abidur Rahman on accounts of treason and convicts them in the judgment in their absence. In the verdict they are delivered punishment of 14 years of imprisonment and forfeited 50 percent of their assets.
