Mujib visits old city areas
The Awami League Chief Sheikh Mujibur Rahman went round the old city areas Wednesday afternoon and appealed to the shop- keepers and members of the public to maintain law and order at any cost, reports PPI.
The Sheikh while passing through Nawabpur, Patuatuli, Shakhari Bazar, Islampur Babubazar, Mitford Mughaltuli, Chawak Circular and Nazimuddin Roads addressed way side gatherings at several places and urged upon the peace loving people and the democratic forces to remain vigilant and alert against the anti- social activities of the mischief-mongers. He also assured all possible help to them by the members of his party.
The Sheikh who was accompanied by Mr. Tajuddin Ahmad General Secretary of EPAL and others was cheerfully greeted with thunderous applause at the various points of the city.
