Mujib’s statement: a clarification

LAHORE, March 9: The General Secretary of All-Pakistan Awami League, Mr. A. H. Kamruzzaman yesterday clarified a part of the speech of the Party Chief, Sheikh Mujibur Rehman made at a Party meeting on Friday.
He said it has been reported in a section of the Press yesterday that Sheikh Mujibur Rahman told his Partymen that the oppressed people of Sind, Frontier, Baluchistan and Bengal are all equal because they are fighting against exploitation.
He said in fact the President of Awami League while addressing the party’s Central Committee laid special emphasis on the unity of the people and categorically said that the oppressed people of Bengal, Punjab. Sind, Frontier and Baluchistan are all equal because they are fighting against exploitation.
He said, “There is no difference between a common man of Punjab and a common man of Bengal. The class exploited all over Pakistan have forced unity through movement against the sharp claws of the exploiters”.-APP.
