I have the honour respectfully to forward herewith a copy of resolution passed in an emergent meeting of this Association on 26.2.52.

At an emergent meeting of the members of the Civil, Criminal Bar Associations, Jhenaidah, held to-day, the 26th February, 1952, at the Pleaders Association Hall the following resolutions are unanimously adopted :
1. This meeting records its emphatic protest against the dastardly action of the Dacca Police is.opening fire on unarmed and peaceful procession of students on 21st and 22nd February, resulting in loss of several precious lives demands a Judicial enquiry in to the incidents by a Judge of the Dacca High Court.
2. This meeting expresses its sincere condolences for the family and the relations of the deceased students and demands that adequate compensation is paid by the Government to their relations without delay.
3. This meeting is strongly of opinion that imposition of order under section 144 Cr. P.C. in Dacca thoroughly unjustified and uncalled for, and it demands immediate withdrawal of the same.
4. Resolved further that Bengali be immediately declared as a State Language of Pakistan and that all previous declarations to the contrary be immediately withdrawn to pacify the growing Viscontent in East Bengal.
5. Resolved that those Bengali nationals that are being detained in prison without trial be immediately set free, or brought 10 trial before competent court without delay.
