Herewith please find a copy of the resolutions passed unanimously in an extraordinary general meeting of the Tipperah District Bar Association held in the Association Hall on 26.2.52.

Resolutions :
1. Resolved that the members of the Tipperah District Bar . Association assembled in an Extraordinary General meeting held at.
2 P.M. on 26.2.52. strongly condemn the action and conduct of those, who are responsible for indiscriminate and inhuman firing on and causing deaths to students and the public at Dacca on 21st and 22nd February, 1952 over the language question and urge upon the inn Government to set up an Enquiry Commission of High Court Judges to and non-officials for holding an enquiry in to the matter for the purpose of bringing the offenders to book.
Resolved further that the members of the Bar Association express their deep sense of sorrow at the most unfortunate and horrible killings of the unarmed innocent students and the public. and convey their heart-felt condolences and sympathies to the members of the Bereaved families.
3. Resolved that the members of the Bar disapprove the action of the Government in banning the publication of the Pakistan Observer and urge upon the Government to lift the ban immediately.
4. Resolved that members of the Association condemn the action of the Government in arresting the students and the public at Dacca including some members of the Legislative Assembly.
5. Resolved that the daily paper Morning News be boycotted and the Hon’ble Minister be requested to take action against the editor for spreading disaffection amongst the two communities in Pakistan.
All the resolutions are carried unanimously.
