I am directed to communicate to you for information and for favour of necessary action the following resolution of the Executive Council of the University adopted unanimously at its meeting held on Sunday, 24th February, 1952:
“That the Executive Council urges on the Constituent Assembly of Pakistan to adopt Bengali as one of the State languages of Pakistan and that a copy of this resolution be sent to all members of the Constituent Assembly”.
