খুলনার দৌলতপুরের ব্রজলাল কলেজের অধ্যাপকদের সভার সিদ্ধান্ত সম্পর্কে সরকারি প্রতিক্রিয়া

Proceedings of the Meeting of the Professor’s Board, Brajalal College, Daulatpur, Khulna.
This meeting of the Professor’s Board of Brajalal College, Daulatupr, Khulna, is of opinion that Bengali should be one of the State Language of Pakistan. This status is rightly demands owing to the fact that it is the Mother tongue of the majority of the population of Pakistan and is one of the richest languages of the world. .
Further this meeting strongly condemns the cowardly atrocities committed by the Police on students without any moral and legal ground. This meeting also holds that the Professor, students and members of the public who have been arrested in this connection should be immediately be released.
This meeting expresses the deepest anxieties for the injured and wishes their speedy recovery. It also expresses its heartiest sympathy for the relatives of the victims of the brutal Police firing and most fervently prays for the peace of the departed souls.

(The Government received the memoranda on 20 March, 1952.)
Deputy Secretary wrote on 20 March, 1952 that : “I am directed to say that Government take a serious view of the resolution passed under para 2 thereof. The remark as made in the first sentence of the resolution is highly objectionable and unwarranted. It is requested that Government’s disapproval of such remark may please be conveyed to Professors’ Board.
1.5.1952
C.S. (Chief Secretary) may see the resolutions passed at the meeting of the Professors’ Board of Brajalal College, Daulatpur. The second resolution “Cowardly atrocities committed by the Police on students without any moral and legal ground” condemning the Police firing is unwarranted. As regards the action to be taken, I consider that the D.M. should be asked to convey the Government’s disapproval of such unwarranted remark, as suggested by the Education Department. In addition to that I consider that the question of withdrawing the Government grant should be examined and an enquiry into loyalties of leading instigators among the Professor be made by the District Magistrate, Khulna.
14.9.1952
In an Emergent meeting of the Professors’ Board, held on 14.9.1952 under the Presidency of the Principal Dr. M. E. Huq, M.A. Ph.D., E.P.C.S., the Confidential Memo. No. 1643/C, dated 9.9.1952 of the District Magistrate Khulna, with the enclosure, containing the proceedings of a previous meeting of the Professors’ Board, Brajalal College, Daulatpur, Khulna, was discussed and an enquiry into the said proceedings was made. neither the proceedings of that meeting were traceable in the Proceedings Book of the Professor’s Board, nor any of the members of the staff present in to-day’s (14.9.1952) meeting could say anything definite about the meeting in question or its proceedings. It seemed that if any meeting of that nature was ever held, it was spurious and its proceedings too were not genuine.
In the circumstances, the Professors’ Board of this College resolves that the so-called resolution forwarded by the District Magistrate, Khulna, to the Principal, be disavowed and that he be informed that the Board is entirely one with the Government in its disapproval of the unrecorded resolution of the spurious meeting, which did not reflect the opinion of the present Board.
It is further resolved that a copy of this resolution over the signature of the President and Secretary of the Professors’ Board be sent to the District Magistrate, Khulna, for favour of his information.
