USSR WANTS END OF BLOODSHED IN E. PAKISTAN
Moscow, April 3 (TASS)
Nikolai Podgorny has sent a message to the President of Pakistan “insistently appealing for the adoption of the most urgent measures to stop the boodshed, the repression against the population in East Pakistan and for turning to methods of a peaceful political settlement.”
“We are convinced that this would be in the interests of the entire people of Pakistan and of preserving peace in that area. A peaceful settlement of the preblem that have arisen would be received with satisfaction by the entire Soviet People.”
