ভাষাকে কেন্দ্র করে বাঙালি-অবাঙালি সংঘর্ষ
To
Prime Minister,
Government of East Bengal
Dated, Jessore, the 11 June, 1951
Dear Sir,
It is not unknown to your goodself that a large number of refugees have come and settled down in this district. But unfortunately they have been eyesores to the two followers of Mr. H. S. Suhrawardy, Maulvi Mashiur Rahman and Maulvi Shamsur Rahman who have been hostile to, these refugees from the very beginning and are trying to create division among the refugees into Bengali and non-Bengali groups. These two gentlemen also took active part in the anti-Urdu language movement and the former was a security prisoner for some time. Due to their propaganda, things have come to such a pass that a few days ago there was a clash among the Bengali and non-Bengali refugees who are still in Jessore Sadar Hospital.
Yours Faithfully,
Mr. M. A. Khaleque,
Secretary,
District Muslim League, Jessore, East Bengal
