On the Student Front, the East Pakistan Student’s Federation is an active organisation amongst the younger section. It was successful in drawing to its fold quite a large number of Muslim students. The Student’s Federation took up the cause of the language controversy in March, 1949, and tried to work in cooperation with the Muslim Student’s groups and was successful to a certain extent in acting in collaboration temporarily with the E.P.M.S.L. Just like its parent body, it also seized all popular causes to exploit the situation. The Students’ Federation took up the cause of the University Menials’ strike and was partially successful in creating some amount of disturbances. Like most other Hindu political organisations, the Communist Party of Pakistan also has been maintaining its link with the parent body of India and has been drawing its inspiration from the All India leaders.
