The Chittagong District Bar Association strongly condemns the unwise and impolitic act of firing by the Police of the students who assembled to demonstrate their desire to have Bengali as one of the state languages and urges that an immediate enquiry be made into this outrageous act, by a responsible tribunal with a view to take a proper steps against those who are responsible for this act and to award adequate compensation to the families of those killed or injured.
The Committee further conveys their sincere condolence to the sufferers and sympathises with the cause for which they suffered.
