Sheikh Mujib’s trial resumed
DACCA, June 18: The trial of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman for allegedly making a seditious speech at a public meeting here three years ago, was resumed here yesterday, in the court of the Additional Deputy Commissioner.
The fourth prosecution witness-a Police official-yesterday made his deposition in the court. The three prosecution witnesses have already given evidence.
The Awami League leader, who is now under detention in the Dacca Central Jail, was brought to the court during the hearing which was adjourned till Tuesday next.
Mr Zaheeruddin, Mr Abul Hossain and others appeared for the defence while the Public Prosecutor, Mr Alim appeared for the Government.-APP.
