Six-point day today
Permission to use Paltan not yet obtained
(By a Staff Correspondent)

East Pakistan Awami League will observe Six-point Day throughout the province on Monday.
The programme, drawn up for the day, includes public meetings, processions and peaceful demonstrations in support of the demands. But in some places, including Dacca, the day will be observed without public meetings for lack of necessary permissions from the authorities concerned.
According to an Awami League press release issued on Sunday, no intimation of permission to use the Outer Stadium as venue of the proposed meeting had reached the Awami League office till Sunday.
The Awami Leaguers had earlier approached the Stadium Committee for permission to use the Outer Stadium field for holding a public meeting on Sunday.
The press release also said that East Pakistan Awami League office had received reports from Khulna and Mymensingh stating that holding of public meetings would not be possible in these places as permission to use mikes and fields had not been received.
