Paltan speech case
Sheikh Mujib pleads not guilty

On Saturday, the fourth day of his trial inside Dacca Central Jail for an alleged prejudicial speech on March 20, 1966, at Paltan Maidan, charges were framed against Sheikh Mujibur Rahman that the speech contained incitement of ill-feeling among members of the public against the Government established by law and between the two Wings of Pakistan.
Asked for his reply to the charged by the trying Magistrate Mr. Afsaruddin Ahmad, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman pleaded not guilty.
The court adjourned the hearing till December 3.
