Sk. Mujib not ill
Sk. Mujibur Rahman who is now in Dacca Central Jail under DPA has not been transferred in jail hospital, it is authoritatively learnt in Dacca on Monday night, reports APP.
The source reports that “it appears from a section of Press that Sk. Mujibur Rahman, the President of East Pakistan Awami League, now under detention under DPR in the Dacca Central jail, is seriously ill and has been transferred to jail hospital is not at all correct”.
Sk. Mujibur Rahman complained of pain in the abdoment on May 11. He was immediately attended by the jail doctor and the Civil Surgeon. It is learnt from their reports that his ailment was very minor and he was treated in his ward. There was no need of his transfer to jail hospital at any stage. He is now quite well.
