Mujib’s 6-Point Plan Will Ultimately
Lead To Secessionist Trend

RAWALPINDI, June 1 (PPA): Mr. Masihur Rahman, MNA and a Leader of the National Awami Party yesterday said the six-point programme of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman if implemented would ultimate lead to secessionist trend in the whole country.
“Even if I were the President would never allow the six-points to be implemented”, he added.
He was speaking at a meeting of the NAP workers here last evening, the meeting was also addressed by the newly-elected MNA of the party, Mir Ghouse Bakhsh Bezeno and Mian Arif Iftikhar, MNA.
Mr. Masihur Rahman discussed at length the implications of the six-points and said such a demand could only crop up as a result of “dissatisfaction” in the country. It was basically a quarrel against explotation only “positive approach” against the six-points, he felt could be that the country should have a Socialist society, Socialism alone, he said was the guarantee against any secessionist trends.
Explaining the NAP programme, Mr. Rehman said a “struggle for democracy necessarly implied an untiring struggle against imperialism. The type of democracy for which the NAP was fighting, he said, was democracy for socialism. “A democracy by the people for the total good of the total people”.
U. S. AID
Talking of the economic policies of the Government. He bitterly attacked American aid and called it “haram” for Pakistan. Previously, he said, America.
MASIHUR RAHMAN
Used to give economic aid as a measure of political strategy. Now the situation had changed. The aid was today being used as a lever for American global military strategy.
The aid-giving capacity of America having been reduced substantially, he said, the new policy was to extend aid to suit the pentagon strategy.
America was giving substantial food grains to India to gain favour of the 450 million people against China. The American Government was certain that it could not fight China military and as such, feels that one maund of wheat for every Indian would serve as the best imperialist weapon against China, he said.
