Mujib’s Release Demanded
Twenty-six Basic Democrats of Narayangonj in a statement has demanded immediate release of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and other Awami League leaders arrested under the Defence of a Pakistan Rules, says a press release of the Narayanganj Awami League issued on Friday, reports PPA.
The signatories which included two chairmen of the Union Council also demanded immediate withdrawal of state of emergency from the country, the release added.
The signatories are; Messrs A. K. M. Shamsuzzoha, Afzal Hossain (Chairman), A Rab Bepari, SK. Mizanur Rahman, Asgar Hossain Bhuyan (Chairman), Babu Gokul Chandra Fuddar, A Wahab, A Jabbar, Abdul Matin, K. Munsur Ahmed, Abul Hossain, Abdul Harun-ur-Rashid, Anwar Ali, Akauddin Dehlubi, Mohiuddin Ahmed, Sharif Munshi, Ali Ahmed, Shamsudduha, Mahtab uddin, Tara Mia, Golam Hossen Faruque, Mir Kafiluddin, Khorshed Alam, Abdul Hamid Munshi, Mohammad Ali, Abdul Kadir, and Abdul Rahim.
