Mujib not transferred to jail hospital
DACCA, May 16: Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Awami League leader, who is now detained in Dacca Central Jail Under D.P.R., has not been transfered to the jail Hospital, it was authoritatively learnt here tonight.
The source denied Press reports that Shiekh Mujibur Rahman was presently seriously ill and had been transferred to jail hospital.
The source said Sheikh Mujibur Rahman complained of pain in the abdomen on May 11. He was immediately attend to by the Jail doctor and the civil surgeon.
His ailment was very minor and he was treated in his ward. There was no need of his transfer to jail hospital at any stage. “He is now quite well.”
It is further learnt that Begum Mujibur Rahman had an interview with her husband on Sunday afternoon in the jail office. —APP.
