MUJIB’S PLAN A
‘CRY IN THE WILDERNESS?
KDML leader’s statement

Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s six-point programme has been criticised and called a “cry in the wilderness” by the Vice-President of the Karachi Divisional Muslim League, Dr. Habibur Rahman Khan.
In a Press statement yesterday he said the programme represented drowning last attempt to get hold or something for his survival.
He said that the Awami Leaguers had lost the chance the country had provided them to work in accordance with the mandate of the people of East Pakistan and it was a pity that they could not achieve in the past what they intended to achieve now.
The vice-President of the KDML reminded Sheikh Mujibur Rahman that the six-point programme was against the very spirit of the Lahore resolution as presented by Mr. A.K. Fazlul Haq.
He said the programme deserved to be nipped in the bud as it contained the seeds of disruption and disintegration of Pakistan.
Dr. Khan reiterated that most of the points raised by Sheikh Mujibur Rahman have either been implemented by President Ayub’s regime or are in the process of implementation.
He expressed surprise that it had taken Sheikh Mujibur Rahman eight years to think of these points. —PPA.
