Mujib explains six-point plan at Comilla meeting
COMILLA, May 5: Addressing a public meeting here on Saturday last, Shaikh Mujibur Rahman, President of the East Pakistan Awami League, reiterated his six-point demand.
The meeting, which was presided over by Mr Abdur Rahman Khan, a former Provincial Minister, was also addressed by Mr A. K. M. Rafiqul Husain, Mr Abdul Momin and Mr Abdur Rab.
Shaikh Mujibur Rahman spoke in detail of his six-point programme, demanded provincial autonomy and restoration of the parliamentary form of government.
He also urged the people to continue their struggle for the restoration of democracy in the country and demanded adequate defence measures for the province. – APP
