Mujib Refused Bail
SYLHET, April 22 (APP): Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Awami League Leader, Who was brought here under arrested from Dacca was produced before Mr. M. A. Ghani Sub-Divisional Officer, Sadar, today.
He was arrested on a nonbailable warrant issued by the SDO Sadar, Sylhed, on a complaint lodged by the police for making allegedly prejudicial speech at a meeting held at Sylhet Registrar Ground on March 14 under Sections 153 A of Pakistan Penal Code, Section 7/3 of East Pakistan Public Safety Ordinance and Section 47(1) of Defence of Pakistan Rules. The bail petition moved by Mr. Abdul Hye, Advocate, was Rejected by the SDO.
Mr. Mujibur Rahman was given Division 1 by learned Magistrate.
