MUJIB ARRESTED, BAILEDOUT

JESSORE, April 18: Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, President of the East Pakistan Awami League, was arrested in Jessore early morning under Defence of Pakistan Rules by the Jessore police under “intimation form 2” from Ramna police station, from the house of Mr. Mashiur Rahman, Advocate a former provincial Minister, in connection with a case,No 80/66, under Section 47 (5). He was produced in the court of the Sub-divisional Officer, Jessore Sadar and bailed out for Rs. 5000 and two sureties of the same amount. The bail was moved by Mr. Mashiur Rahman, Advocate, Mr. Raushan Ali, Pleader, Mr. Nurul Islam, Advocate and others.
Later Sheikh Mujib Flew back to Dacca while other members of his party left for Dacca by car.
