BARI AND BASIT SLATE MUJIB’S
6-POINT PLAN

Lahore, April 9: Mr Fazlul Bari, General Secretary of the East Pakistan Provincial Muslim league, said here today that the sixpoint plan of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was not considered worth any attention in East Pakistan.
Mr Bari, who also holds the portfolio of Revenue in the East Pakistan Government, was talking to newsmen at a local hotel.
Diwan Abdul Basit, East Pakistan Minister for Commerce and Industries who was also there endorsed the views expressed by Mr Bari.
The said there was not unanimity even in the party of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on that subject. People of East Pal istan, they said, would never lend their ears to such a senseless talk.
About the Parliamentary form of Government, they said it did not suit the genius of Pakistanis and hence it could not work here.
They were of the view that the Ayub regime had gone a long way in removing the disparity between the two Wins of the country in the industrial field. They said the time was not far off when the people of East Pakistan would be absolutely satisfied on that score.
They said that they had sufficient experience of the opposition leaders. Disparity continued to exist and expand when they were in power.
They suggested that journalists from one Wing of the country should visit the other Wing frequently to see things for themselves. – APP
