Mujibur Rahman’s 6-point programme
The Central Jamiatul Ulema-i-Pakistan, Karachi, on Wednesday criticised Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s six-point programme which, it said, aimed at creating disruption between the two Wings of the country and undoing the very ideology of Pakistan.
By a resolution passed at its meeting, the Jamiat has asked its branches at Dacca, Chittagong and Khulna to forcefully oppose the sinister move. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Maulana Abdul Hamid Badayuni, President of the Jamiat.
The meeting passed a number of resolutions on various issues. By a resolution, the Jamiat welcomed President Ayub’s appeal to Ulema and Mashaikh for maintaining national unity and discipline to further strengthen Pakistan. – APP.
